NARRATIVE: DOUGLAS COUNTY, CO – A Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputy was taken into custody on allegations of criminal wrongdoing while assigned to the Douglas County Detention Facility.
On May 25, 2022, information was obtained that alleged a deputy had introduced contraband in the detention facility. An investigation was opened and on May 31, 2022, at 7:15 pm, Carley Jackson DOB 10/08/97, was arrested and booked into the Douglas County Detention Facility on the following charges:
18-8-302 F3 Bribery
18-8-306 F4 Attempt to Influence a Public Servant
18-8-404 M1 1st Degree Official Misconduct
18-8-201 M2 Conspiracy
18-8-204 (1)(a) M2 Introducing Contraband in the Second Degree
Jackson posted a $10,000 bond last night and was due in court today, June 1, 2022.
Jackson is no longer employed with the Sheriff’s Office.
This is still an active investigation, and no other information is being released at this time.
