Sheriff Spurlock takes school safety seriously. His priority has always been to make sure the County’s students, as well as staff, are safe while attending schools in Douglas County. The tragic event at the STEM School has solidified this commitment and with new funding, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will be hiring additional School Resource Officers to increase safety in our schools. We are looking for experienced School Resource Officers to laterally hire into an SRO role in Douglas County. Officers who are currently working as a School Resource Officer in a Law Enforcement agency in Colorado or have School Resource Officer experience and are currently employed at a Colorado Law Enforcement agency will be considered.
