Meet Deputy Hugs.  As members of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, it is our job to provide comfort to the children in our community who may be dealing with sudden trauma or crisis.  While we may not be able to change their situation, we are the child’s personal companion to take with them.  It is not uncommon for us to become a lifelong companion to many of the children that we serve.
